Every child deserves to learn, grow, and know they are loved.

Spirit and Soul brings literacy, creativity, play, and the love of Jesus to children in underserved communities, beginning in Liberia.

Faith and the whole child

We believe every child has the potential to thrive, not only in school but in spirit, character, relationships, health, and purpose.

Spirit and Soul brings Biblical Christian principles together with education, mentorship, creativity, and play to nurture the whole child. We serve children and youth in underserved communities, creating opportunities for them to discover their gifts, build confidence, develop strong character, and understand that their lives have purpose.

One simple rhythm: Heart, Mind, Hands, Body

Every session follows the same four movements, so children connect what they are learning with who they are becoming.

Heart

Prayer, Scripture, and a character lesson children can carry home.

Mind

Reading, vocabulary, and Standard English built through stories and songs.

Hands

Art and hands-on projects made from materials found nearby.

Body

Movement, games, and sports that make learning joyful.

Why we begin in Liberia

Our founder, Steffi Benjamin, grew up in Liberia in a home where faith and education were everything. Her mother often reminded her, "Education could never be taken from you."

Today Liberia faces a low literacy rate and limited access to quality education. Its children are the country's future, and they deserve the knowledge, skills, character, and confidence they need to thrive. Spirit and Soul was created with that future in mind, with a vision to extend the work to communities around the world.
